Derryvullen and Garvary Mothers' Union
Puspa and CompassionThis is Puspa. She is a little Indian girl whom some of the MU members support through COMPASSION a Christian Organisation whose aim is in some way to prepare children, who otherwise have no hope to prepare for the future.
PUSPA will be 12 years old on 2 January 2016. She lives in East India and attends Lanjigarh Child Development Centre. Puspa lives in the jungle community of Lanjigarh. Typical houses are constructed of dirt floors, mud walls and thatch roofs. Her diet is mostly bananas, chicken, fish, bread, rice and potatoes. Common health problems are malaria, sickle cell disease, anaemia and Hepatitis B. Sadie Curran, a Garvary Member looks after the communication with Puspa. Each year at our AGM she gives an update of Puspa's progress. We are very grateful to Sadie for doing this. |
