On Monday 5th Dec 2016 the Mothers' Union held their Christmas meeting in Derryvullen South parish hall. Betty Galloway gave an inspiring talk about gifts and showed the ladies how to make a decorative Christmas tree and other craft ideas. Four members were given certificates for long membership, Gwen Forde, 32 years; Mae Eames, Ivy Edwards and Anne Rowley, 30 years. Lynne Black who is also a member for 30 years was absent.
The rector announced that Kathleen Kettyles was retiring as secretary of Derryvullen South branch and would be succeeded by Freda Burleigh. He also announced that Anne Rowley would be taking over as branch leader from his wife Valerie Stewart.
