Derryvullen Ceilidh Night
CEILIDH
A St Valentine's Ceilidh was held on Monday 15th February 2016 in a colourfully decorated Derryvullen South parish hall. It was hosted by the Mothers' Union and open to both parishes. The evening was intended to be a fun evening for all, but also to promote Mothers' Union especially amongst the younger membership of our parishes. Including a light supper the evening was free and was greatly enjoyed by all. Our thanks to Anne Rowley, Kathleen Kettyles and Rosemary Watts for all their work preparing for this event. Rosemary and her husband Nicholas are leading members of the Fermanagh Scottish Country Dancing group which meets in the hall on Tuesday evenings and welcomes new members. The “caller” was Rita Cooper and we appreciated her guiding us through the various dances. At the end presentations were made by Freda Beacom, Kathleen Kettyles and Anne Rowley to Rita, Rosemary and to Chancellor Stewart on behalf of his wife, Valerie, who was absent following recent major surgery. |
